Rocky a large black and white Husky stares at the camera in a middle of a field. The Holidays are special for countless reasons and for many people it’s a time where miracles tend to happen. At the Brant County SPCA, we are fortunate to witness miracles every day. Whether it’s an animal finally gaining trust in our staff, a kitten named Bennett receiving the vet care he needs, or seeing a family become complete with the addition of four little paws, we are so honoured to be a part of each animal’s journey.

Many of you are familiar with Rocky; a husky pup that came to us in June of 2023. Over the last six months, our amazing shelter staff have worked so hard to find Rocky a home where he would thrive, and many of you shared his story to help him on his way.

As we drew nearer to 2024 and Rocky’s days in our shelter continued to climb, we started to hope for Rocky’s very own miracle.

Thanks to the incredible outpouring of community support, from sponsored adoption fees to the countless shares of his story, Rocky is now thriving under the care of his Foster Dad, Sean. Sean shares that Rocky is settling in beautifully and enjoying the company of his new Husky friends in the neighborhood.

Your generosity and compassion have paved the way for Rocky, Bennett, and countless others to experience the happy endings they deserve.
