Jacob’s Journey

Jacob’s Journey

Jacob came to us on May 12th 2018; a sweet shy dog with a limp and a wound on his leg that caused concern. We promptly got him to a vet where it was confirmed that he was suffering from an old fracture, and when blood work was done we saw that Jacob faced an even bigger challenge: heartworm. We continue to supply the Brantford Food Bank with pet food for distribution and have also supported the Six Nations Food Bank and Animal Control by providing them with necessary dog and cat food. We understand that many people in need might not have access to these outlets and […]

On January 11th, our Animal Services Team members picked up Candy; a timid boxer with a sweet disposition and gentle touch. But there was something clearly going on that demanded medical attention. Several large masses hung from her mouth in a way that made you wonder how she ever ate or drank. She was posted to our Lost and Found Facebook Page where she immediately made waves. Her sad eyes and painful looking masses caught the attention of our followers and they immediately shared in our concern, requesting more information, asking for updates […]
