The Friends for Life! Walk™ is a provincial program of the Ontario SPCA and its Affiliates, designed to raise funds and awareness for the protection and care of all animals in Brantford and Brant County!

By lacing up and collecting pledges for animals in your community, you’re supporting the protection and care of animals in need.

This is more than just a fundraising walk, the Friends for Life! Walk is a fun-filled day that offers something for everyone. From barbecues, agility shows and games to pet vendors and activities for the kids, it’s the purr-fect way to spend a day with friends and family who share a love of animals.

How can your organization help animals in need?

Join the FFL! Walk with your colleagues and participate in the “All Paws In” Corporate Challenge! This is a great way to promote wellness, balance and team building with your coworkers, while raising funds for a great cause! Signing up is easy! Register online and create a team. Invite your colleagues to join your team. Even better, have your company register multiple teams, one for each department and encourage each other to fundraise with some friendly competition! Alternatively, challenge one of your customers, clients, competitors or neighbouring businesses to join the challenge and compete against you!

Working together we will change the lives of animals’ in Brantford and Brant County, one step at a time! We welcome the opportunity to discuss customizing of a sponsorship package that would be most suited to you and your organization. Can’t attend the walk but still want to help out? Why not donate a raffle prize or walker goodie bag item! Help get your name out in the community by donating and item with your business card attached. These raffle prizes and good bag items, help make the walk not only memorable for our participants, but help raise funds for animals in need at the shelter.

Where do my Fundraising Dollars go?

Your fundraising dollars are always hard at work! Donations support a long list of programs and services provided by the SPCA’s and Humane Societies across Ontario:

  • Sheltering and Adoptions
  • Advocacy

  • Reducing Pet Overpopulation
  • Emergency Rescue and Treatment
  • Reuniting Lost Pets with their Owners
  • Family Violence Assistance Program (helping care for the pets of women in women’s shelters)

Make sure to stop by all these amazing booths anytime after 9am and join us for our Perfect Scents K9 dog shows at 9:30am with a morning stretch hosted by Anytime Fitness prior to our walk right at 10am!
After the walk join us for another Perfect Scents K9 dog show, BBQ, raffle and top winner prize.
PLEASE NOTE our best dressed dog competition and best trick competition will take place directly after the walk (you will sign a sign by the BBQ station)
