Operation Smile

Operation Smile: Suzie & Lilah

Operation Smile commenced last year with Oliver! You may remember Oliver, a Shih Tzu, that attended our annual golf tournament, and was our mascot for the Friends for Life Walk last September. Oliver had over $2000 of dental work completed thanks to you, and has since found his new family.

Dental issues are a common occurrence we see many cases of in animals that come into our care, and it is our goal to ensure each gets the proper care they need to have beautiful smiles for their new families.

Suzie came to the Brant County SPCA March 17th 2017. She was found as a stray by a member of the public and brought to us for care. During Suzie’s intake exam, it was found she had quite infected ears, as well as excessive dental decay along with missing teeth. Costs for Suzie’s surgery quickly rose over $1000 dollars. With your support, Suzie was sent off for her dental surgery, where 17 teeth were removed, and two tiny chompers were left intact! Since, Suzie has been recovering from her surgery, and is awaiting to head home to her new family. Operation Smile has come to the rescue for another animal of the Brant County SPCA.

Lilah is another lovely girl on her way to becoming a member of the Operation Smile club. Lilah came into the Brant County SPCA as a stray on May 13th, 2017. Like Suzie, Lilah has some decaying teeth that will need to be removed.  She has an upcoming consultation, where her mouth will be further examined, and a surgery date will be booked.

Your donation makes a difference in the lives of animals just like Suzie & Lilah. Your support of Operation Smile means no animal goes without the dental care they need to have beaming smiles, and healthy mouths for their new families. It means we can make sure every animal in our care receives their spay/neuter surgeries, microchips and vaccines to be healthy and happy.

If you’d like to donate to Operation Smile to assist all of the animals that come into our care with dental issues please see the below form!
