Protect the Animals in our Community

Investigations

MochaTo report Animal Cruelty and Neglect
call 519-756-6620.

When calling in to report animal cruelty or neglect, please provide as much detailed information as you can regarding your concern: Exact address where animals are kept; if rural, then use 911 address; description of animals; as well as detailed information regarding your concern, including the date and time the incident occurred.

Remember, when reporting animal abuse, your personal information is kept confidential.

We like to think that animal cruelty and neglect does not happen in our community. Unfortunately that is not the case. Our Officers respond to hundreds of calls annually.

These calls range from dogs being left in backyards without adequate shelter to animals being kept in unsanitary conditions and not being provided proper veterinarian care when needed.

Some think that our investigations are limited to helping dogs and cats, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. We receive calls regarding pets being abandoned in dwellings, only to find we are removing an 8 foot Python, a cage with rabbits, or even an aquarium of fish. It is our mission to help all animals in need and, with the assistance of the people in our community reporting animal abuse, we can continue to do so.
