Brant County SPCA promotes the protection of at-risk animals by working diligently to co-ordinate the successful adoption of animals to welcoming families.

Our new system, called "Meet Your Match" is a mechanism for matching the personality of an animal with the right family.

Thanks to the Feline “Meet Your Match” program the adoption process has now been made more interesting, quicker and definitely a lot less stressful. You no longer fill out a multiple page application; it’s now a one-page survey with multiple-choice questions. When the results of the survey are reviewed by the adoption councillors they can then begin to show you the cats that would best suit your home environment. Since we have had a huge success with our feline matches, it is our goal to role out the program for dogs by this coming summer.

Every year, thousands of healthy animals are put down in Ontario.  Spaying or neutering our animals before they leave the shelter ensures that they will not add to the problem.  It also offers many health benefits for the animals and reduces undesirable behaviours like territorial marking.

We understand that sometimes incidents may occur when owning a cat or dog that can result in the animal becoming lost. To help ensure, those that are adopted from the Brant County SPCA return to their families, should such an incident happen we also microchip them for a permanent form of identification.
